What a wild ride

July 3rd, 2008

It has been an amazing year long journey with MasTees. No regrets. Unfortunately, the time has come for Amanda and I to duck out of this oversaturated t-shirt game; it just wasn't our time to pop off.

I've learned a lot about business and friendships, networking and chance encounters. This experience has been well worth the knowledge.

I'd like to thank:
· Amanda, ... it goes without saying.
· My son Bennie, for being the best little dude ever. Thanks for allowing me to spend too much time on the computer when we should have been reading or playing at the park. If you had been any other kid, MasTees wouldn't have been possible.
· My husband, Jayson - who put up with all my late nights, and babysitting when I was out selling at events. For helping me through this challenge ... loves ya.
· Our accountant, Sherie - thanks for handling all the stuff Amanda and I really had no idea about! You've been awesome.
· All of our fam at NFA - Noel, Dalia, Luke, Abs ... we are forever grateful for your support. Without Hip-Hop Karaoke, none of this would have been possible. TRUTH.
· To HotKid, DJ Enki, DJ Platurn, Dope-A-Lot, Kagan McLeod and Daymon Greulich ... I'm a better person for knowing you guys. Keep up your hustles.
· To everyone who came out and bought tees at NFA, HHK, Supermarket, The Clothing Show, @ Article 8 ... keep on rockin' those exclusive, limited edition tees.
· To those precious few who ACTUALLY hit up our online store - ((I'm talking to you fam in The Bay)) - you're all rad!

Sorry for bustin' out the Oscar-style acceptance speech.

If you see me out and about in my '95 VW Passat Wagon, come by and take a look at our remaining stock. All items $20.

Marta in some MasTees: just off Haight St. SF

I think Marta summed it up very eloquently. Without any of you tee shirt lovers, this year wouldn't have been possible. We gave it a shot. No regrets.

I would specifically like to thank:
· Marta; you are a hard worker and a determined woman, it has never gone unnoticed. Thank you.
· Petes; thank you, you are the best. Thank you for constantly rockin' MAS, even when I said you look the same in every pic for doing so... Loves.
· Stevie; thank you for all your pep talks and sales strategies. And for venturing with me to TO all those Thursday nights.
· To the Cambridge Supporters; thanks for all looking the same at any given gathering. Your support means a lot.
ยท Of course all our friends and family who have loved and allowed us to take on this venture.

At least all of you that own a MAS tee are among the few originals...
Love. Lots.

Amanda and Peter: Reppin MAS to the fullest ... and we out, PEACE!

Back from Holland

June 25th 2008

I'm back! Actually, we returned June 1st but I decided to bring the laid back styles of Holland with me.

Our 16 days overseas were amazing, to put it simply. Everywhere I looked - inspiration.

A week into our stay, my husband was lucky to be "a friend of a friend" of Mike Giant. Long since retired from the "tattooing to make end's meet" game, the GiantOne agreed to ink my better half.

In the two hours it took to complete the tat, Giant spoke openly about the fine art world, commissioned work and REBEL8. Thanks for the positive vibes, Mike.
